How business email works
Your Domain Is the Address. Email Hosting Runs the Mailboxes.
A professional email setup combines a domain with an email-hosting service. The domain identifies the address after the @ symbol, while the email service stores, sends and receives messages for the mailboxes you create.
Use a domain you own
Connect an existing domain or register a new one for your business email addresses.
Choose your mailbox capacity
Select the Professional Email plan that provides the number of mailboxes and storage the business requires.
Configure the email DNS records
The domain needs the correct mail-related DNS records so email can be routed through the selected service.
Create the business addresses
Set up individual or role-based addresses such as name@, sales@ or support@ according to the mailbox limits of the plan.
Connect your preferred email access method
Use the webmail or standard email-client connection methods supported by the current Professional Email product.
Email security & delivery foundations
Protect the Mailbox and Authenticate the Domain.
Professional email involves more than the address itself. Mailbox security, spam filtering and domain-authentication records can affect how business email is protected and how receiving systems evaluate messages.
SPF
SPF can identify which mail systems are authorised to send email for the domain.
DKIM
DKIM can add a cryptographic signature that receiving systems use to verify that supported messages were authorised by the sending domain.
DMARC
DMARC builds on SPF and DKIM alignment and allows the domain owner to publish a policy for how participating receivers should handle authentication failures.

Business email questions
Professional Email Questions Before You Choose a Plan.
Clear answers about custom-domain email, mailboxes, storage, domains, DNS, email clients and dedicated spam protection.
Business email hosting provides mailboxes that use a domain owned by the business, such as name@yourcompany.com. The email service stores and routes messages for those addresses while the domain provides the business identity after the @ symbol.
A professional business address uses a domain associated with the business rather than a generic consumer email domain. This keeps the business name visible in communication and gives the organisation control over the domain used for employee and role-based addresses.
Yes. A custom-domain business email address needs a domain to provide the part of the address after the @ symbol. You can register a new domain with GrabbyHost or use an existing domain when its DNS can be configured for the email service.
Generally, yes. The domain does not have to be transferred solely to use a separate email service as long as you can update the required DNS records at the provider that manages the domain's DNS.
Start with the number of mailboxes your business needs, then compare email storage and the verified features included with each current GrabbyHost plan. Also review the current price and renewal cost before ordering.
Compatibility depends on the connection methods supported by the Professional Email service. Where standard protocols such as IMAP and SMTP are available, compatible desktop and mobile mail applications can generally connect using the settings provided for the mailbox.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC are domain-level email-authentication technologies that can help receiving systems evaluate whether email is authorised to use your domain. They work together in different ways and should be configured according to the mail service and DNS environment.
That depends on the protection already included with your email product and the requirements of your business. GrabbyHost also offers separate email-security and spam-filtering services for customers who need an additional filtering layer.
