Most GrabbyHost shared and WordPress hosting plans let you run more than one website from a single account. There are three ways to do it, depending on what you're trying to achieve.

Addon Domains: A Second, Fully Separate Website

An addon domain lets you host a completely separate website, with its own domain name, in its own folder on the same hosting account. It's the right choice when you own a second domain and want an independent site under it.

  1. In cPanel, go to Domains > Addon Domains. Enter the new domain name, confirm the document root (folder) it should use, and click Add Domain.
  2. In DirectAdmin, go to Domain Setup and choose to add a new domain, which functions the same way as an addon domain in cPanel.
  3. Make sure the new domain's nameservers or DNS point to GrabbyHost before it will resolve – see How to Point Your Domain to GrabbyHost.
  4. Upload that site's files into the folder you set for it, separate from your main site's files.

Subdomains: A Section of Your Existing Site

A subdomain (like blog.yourdomain.com or shop.yourdomain.com) is part of your existing domain rather than a separate one. Use it for a distinct section of the same website – a blog, a staging copy, a members' area – without registering a new domain.

  1. In cPanel, go to Domains > Subdomains, enter the subdomain name, and choose or confirm its document root.
  2. In DirectAdmin, use Subdomain Management under Domain Setup.
  3. Subdomains of a domain already on your account work immediately – no separate DNS change is usually needed.

Parked Domains: Same Site, Extra Names

A parked domain points an additional domain name at your existing website, so visitors see the same site whichever domain they type. This is useful for owning common misspellings or alternate extensions (.net alongside .com, for example) without maintaining separate content.

  1. In cPanel, go to Domains > Parked Domains or use the Domains section's "Create a New Domain" flow and choose "Share the document root of my primary domain."
  2. Point the parked domain's DNS to GrabbyHost the same way as any other domain.

Which One Do I Want?

  • Different content, different domain name → Addon Domain
  • Different content, same domain name → Subdomain
  • Same content, different domain name → Parked Domain

Good to Know

How many addon domains and subdomains your plan allows depends on your hosting package – check your plan's limits, or open a support ticket if you're not sure whether you have room for another one. Each addon domain still counts against your account's total disk space and bandwidth, since they all share the same hosting resources.
