Two ways to connect a domain you already own.

If your domain is registered elsewhere and you want to use it with GrabbyHost hosting, you have two options: change its nameservers to GrabbyHost's, or keep your current nameservers and edit individual DNS records instead. This article covers the nameserver method, which is the simplest if you want GrabbyHost to fully manage your DNS.

Find your GrabbyHost nameservers.

Your account's nameservers are shown in your welcome email and in the client area under Domains > My Domains or your hosting service's overview page. Using the exact values shown there (rather than guessing) avoids downtime.

Update the nameservers at your current registrar.

  • Log in to the account where your domain is registered (not GrabbyHost, if it's elsewhere).
  • Find the domain's nameserver or DNS settings — usually under "Manage Domain" or "DNS/Nameservers."
  • Replace the existing nameservers with the GrabbyHost nameservers from your welcome email.
  • Save the changes.

Wait for propagation.

Nameserver changes don't apply instantly everywhere — it can take anywhere from a few hours up to 24–48 hours for the change to fully propagate across the internet, depending on your previous settings.

Already registered your domain with GrabbyHost?

If you registered your domain through GrabbyHost, this is handled automatically when you order hosting for it — you generally don't need to change anything yourself.
