What you'll need.
Before setting up your email in a desktop or mobile app, have your email address, mailbox password, and mail server settings ready. These are available from cPanel's Email Accounts tool — open the account and click Connect Devices (or "Set Up Mail Client") to see the exact server names and ports for your account.
Choose IMAP or POP3.
- IMAP (recommended) keeps your email synced across every device — read, delete, or organize mail anywhere and it updates everywhere.
- POP3 downloads mail to one device and is less suited to checking email from more than one place.
General settings.
Most GrabbyHost mailboxes use your domain's mail server for both incoming and outgoing mail, with SSL/TLS encryption enabled and authentication required for sending. Use the exact hostnames and ports shown in cPanel's "Connect Devices" screen for your account, since these are specific to your hosting server.
Setting up Outlook.
- Go to File > Add Account and enter your email address.
- Choose manual setup / IMAP when prompted, and enter the incoming and outgoing server details from cPanel.
- Enter your full email address as the username and your mailbox password.
- Test the account, then finish.
Setting up the Gmail or Mail app on your phone.
- Choose "Add account" > "Other" or "IMAP" in your phone's mail app.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Enter the incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server details from cPanel when prompted.
- Save and let the app verify the connection.
