Email forwarding and autoresponders help you manage incoming mail automatically — forward messages to another address, or send an automatic reply when you're away. Both are configured from cPanel and take just a couple of minutes to set up.

Setting Up Email Forwarding

Email forwarding sends a copy of every message received at one address to another address, without you needing to log into that mailbox.

  1. Log in to cPanel using the credentials from your welcome email.
  2. Under the Email section, click Forwarders.
  3. Click Add Forwarder.
  4. Enter the email address you want to forward mail from (e.g. sales@yourdomain.com).
  5. Choose Forward to Email Address and enter the destination address.
  6. Click Add Forwarder to save.

You can add as many forwarders as you need, and remove one at any time from the same Forwarders page.

Setting Up an Autoresponder

An autoresponder automatically replies to anyone who emails a chosen address — useful for out-of-office notices or acknowledging support requests.

  1. In cPanel, go to the Email section and click Autoresponders.
  2. Click Add Autoresponder.
  3. Select the email account the autoresponder should apply to.
  4. Fill in a Subject for the automatic reply (e.g. "Out of Office").
  5. Write your reply message in the Body field.
  6. Optionally set a Start and Stop date if this is temporary (for example, during a vacation).
  7. Click Create/Modify to save.

The autoresponder will keep sending replies until you disable it or the stop date passes, so remember to turn it off when it's no longer needed.
