cPanel is the control panel used to manage your GrabbyHost hosting account — everything from email and files to databases and security lives here. This guide covers how to log in and gives a quick tour of the main sections.
How to Log In to cPanel
- Go to yourdomain.com/cpanel or yourdomain.com:2083 in your browser (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain). If your domain isn't pointing to GrabbyHost yet, use the server hostname or IP address from your welcome email instead.
- Enter the cPanel username and password sent to you in your welcome email after your hosting order was set up.
- Click Log in.
You can also usually reach cPanel through a "Login to cPanel" link in your WHMCS client area, under your active hosting service.
A Quick Tour of cPanel
cPanel organizes its tools into sections. The ones you'll use most often include:
- Files – File Manager, FTP accounts, and backups for managing your website's files.
- Databases – MySQL Databases and phpMyAdmin for anything that needs a database, like WordPress.
- Domains – Subdomains, addon domains, and redirects.
- Email – Create email accounts, forwarders, autoresponders, and check webmail.
- Security – SSL/TLS certificates, password protection, and IP blocking.
- Software – One-click installers (such as WordPress) and PHP version settings.
Changing Your cPanel Password
For security, we recommend changing your cPanel password after your first login. Go to Security > Change Password, enter a strong new password, and save.
