Add-ons like Social Media Management, GrabbyX Suite, CodeGuard, SiteLock, and 360 Monitoring are billed alongside your hosting, but a few things about how they work are easy to miss. This article covers the billing side specifically – for what each add-on does, see its own feature guide in this category.

How Add-ons Appear on Your Invoices

Each add-on is billed as its own line item, separate from the hosting service it's attached to. It follows its own billing cycle (which may differ from your hosting plan's cycle) and appears as a distinct product on your invoice, in your Invoices list, and in Email History as its own set of renewal and payment notifications.

Adding an Add-on to an Existing Service

  1. Log in to your GrabbyHost client area and go to Services.
  2. Open the hosting service you want to add it to and go to its Add-ons tab.
  3. Browse available add-ons and click through to order – it's billed starting from checkout, prorated to align with your existing service where applicable.

Upgrading or Downgrading an Add-on Plan

Most add-ons come in multiple tiers (for example CodeGuard's storage tiers, or 360 Monitoring's Lite/Personal/Plus/Advanced plans). To change tiers, open a support ticket or use the Upgrade/Downgrade option on the add-on's own service entry under Services – the price difference is prorated for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

Cancelling an Add-on

  1. Go to Services in your client area and open the add-on you want to cancel (it's listed as its own service, separate from the hosting plan it supports).
  2. Use Request Cancellation in the Service Actions panel.
  3. Choose immediate or end-of-billing-cycle cancellation. Cancelling an add-on does not affect the hosting service it was attached to.

Good to Know

Because each add-on bills separately, an overdue add-on invoice can suspend just that add-on rather than your entire hosting account – but losing access to CodeGuard, SiteLock, or 360 Monitoring while unpaid still means losing the protection it provides, so it's worth keeping add-on billing current the same as hosting.
