If more than one person needs access to your GrabbyHost account – a partner, an employee, or a developer – you don't have to share your main login. The User Management feature lets you invite additional users and control exactly what each one can see and do.
Where to Find It
Log in to the client area and go to your account menu, then User Management (under Account & Resources). You'll see a table listing everyone who currently has access: their email address, last login time, and role. The account owner is always listed as Owner and has permanent full access – ownership can't be transferred or removed from this screen.
Inviting a New User
- From the User Management page, use the Invite New User form.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Choose a permission scope: All Permissions (full access, same as the owner) or Choose Permissions to pick exactly which areas they can access – for example, only Support Tickets, or only Billing, without giving them access to everything else.
- Click Send Invite.
If the invited person already has a GrabbyHost login (from their own separate account), they simply use their existing credentials to accept access. If they don't have one yet, they'll be prompted to create a login when they accept the invite.
Managing Existing Users
For anyone already listed in the User Management table (other than the owner), you can:
- Manage Permissions – change what that user is allowed to see or do at any time.
- Remove Access – revoke their login's access to your account immediately.
Good Practices
- Use Choose Permissions rather than All Permissions whenever possible – give people access to only what their role needs (for example, a developer may only need Services and Support, not Billing).
- Review the User Management list periodically and remove access for anyone who no longer needs it (a former employee or contractor, for instance).
- For per-contact billing or support email notifications without granting login access at all, use Contacts instead of User Management – the two features serve different purposes.
